October 2008

What a busy day! My car needed some repairs and an inspection by 11/1 because I procrastinated the entire month, and waited until the last minute. I had to find a repair shop and an inspection station and carry this all out while being at work.

Well, I found a shop, and was able to have a buddy drop me off in the morning. The car was then ready 10 minutes before another buddy drove me to pick up the car.

After I got home, I ate, showered, and helped Judy get the kids ready to go out. Luke went out dressed as a dalmatian and Mary went out as a flower.

We first went over my mother-in-law’s house for about an hour, or so and also hit a few houses in the neighborhood up for candy. Afterward, we went by my aunts house, but she wasn’t home, then we went to another aunts house and SHE wasn’t home either, but we did get to see one of my cousins that I haven’t seen in quite a while and we got caught up on current family events.

We then went to visit some friends of the family. By this point Mary was high on sugar and Luke was showing signs that he was VERY done with the evening.

I was kind of disappointed that I didn’t have a costume to wear. I think that I will probably plan to dress up next year with the kids… maybe I’ll go as a Jedi knight. We’ll have to see.

We got home around 9:30pm, and got to bed around 10:30pm’ish. Happy Halloween everyone!

Today I had the day off from work, and all of Mary’s friends from New Hampshire came down for a pre-halloween party. There were treats, crafts and a lot of fun. Here are some snaps from the day.

Today we made our annual pumpkin patch visit. Typically we use to go to Mac’s Apples in Londonderry New Hampshire, but this year we tried out a different location, Brooksby Farm, in Peabody, MA. We have all been very sick weekend after weekend, and this was really the last weekend that we would probably get to visit a patch before a frost set in, and we really didn’t want to take a long trip today.

It certainly wasn’t as spacious as Mac’s, but it was still fun, and there were pumkins! They also had a shop with lots of produce, pies, and candy. Most of which were all made with my favorite flavor… pumpkin.
